Welcome to Galita's Chocolate Farm

Near the Sea of Galilee, in Kibbutz Degania B, and in the Jerusalem mountains in Kibbutz Tzuba there is a place where you can enter the sweet world of chocolate.

Reservations must be made in advance.
The visit to Galita's chocolate farm consists of three parts in addition:

1. A movie that tells the story of chocolate and the story of Galita

2. Chocolate experience workshop for adults and children

3. An adventure in the chocolate garden

At the Cohcolate Farm

  • The visit will begin at the hour you have booked, with meeting the host to choose the workshop you would like to prepare. Then you’ll watch a short film about chocolate (The film starts 15 minutes after the time you have booked). At the end of the film you will continue to the workshop center to create your chocolate of choice. At the end of the workshop you will receive a puzzle from our instructors and embark on an adventure in the garden.
  • The entire duration of the visit is about an hour and a half and is suitable from age three.
  • Price per participant is 109 NIS
  • Prior to arrival you must book a reservation in advance with the “book a workshop” button.
  • In addition, you can also enjoy our chocolate bar that includes hot and cold drinks, our excellent pralines and homemade ice cream, and the factory store that offers a large and rich range of Galita products for chocolate lovers.
  • The chocolate farm in Degania is open on Saturdays and holidays and therefore does not have a kashrut certificate. All the products and raw materials are Kosher Lemehadrin Halav Israel.
  • The chocolate farm in Tzuba is Kosher Lemehadrin, Halav Yisrael (closed on Saturdays and holidays)

The visit to our farm includes a movie that tells the story of our chocolate and the story of Galita, a workshop in our Workshop Center (chocolate-related activities for children and adults), as well as a puzzle adventure at the end of the workshop, during which you will need to put together a code in order to win a prize.

The visit lasts about 1.5-2 hours and starts every single hour.

The ticket price is NIS 120.

Parents can purchase tickets for a discounted price of NIS 59 (subject to purchasing at least one ticket, or 2 parent tickets per family at most).

Parents can attend half a workshop in accordance with areas of interest, instead of a full workshop.

The activity is recommended from the age of 3. It is required to purchase tickets for children aged 3 and older.

Younger children can sit with their parents and throughout the parent activities. They will not get their own kits, but will be able to use their parents’ kits. If you would like to get kits for all your children, please purchase tickets for them, including those younger than 3 years old.

You can choose the workshop when you’ll visit us. The hostess will show you a few examples and will give you relevant information to make it easier to decide what you would like to do.

We offer 6 different workshops – each family member may choose to create something different and yet, you can all sit together around the same table.

Both the Galita factory in Degania and the chocolate farm in Tzuba are Kosher Mehadrin certified and supervised by the local rabbinate.

The chocolate farm in Degania operates a Kosher Mehadrin certified workshop center in August and during the holidays of Sukkot, Passover, Hanukkah and Purim. During the rest of the year, workshops are available only for groups of 30 people or more.

There is no need to arrive earlier than the time that you booked. At the beginning of your visit, the hostess will explain about our workshops and help you choose the one that interests you the most. The movie starts 15 minutes past the hour you booked, and the workshop starts 30 minutes past that hour.

  • Sun-Thu – 10:00 am – 5:30 pm (last workshop starts at 4:00 pm)
  • Friday and holiday eve – 10:00 am – 4:30 pm (last workshop starts at 3:00 pm) at Tzuba last workshop at 14:00
  • Saturday and holiday in Degania only – 10:00 am – 5:30 pm (last workshop starts at 4:00 pm)

Special additions to opening hours:

  • In August (Sun-Thu only), and during the holidays of Passover and Sukkot: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm (last workshop starts at 5:00 pm)

The farm is closed on the following days:

  • On the eve of Yom Kippur, Yom Kippur and Israel Memorial Day.
